UB Distinguished Speakers Series

Challenge

Elevate the image of one of the region's most popular speaking engagements, featuring global political leaders, innovative business owners, arts and cultural personalities, leaders in science and technology, and media personalities for its 25th anniversary season.

Approach

We set out to design an identity and campaign that would be as effective for the speakers with household recognition, as well as those with niche audiences. Some speakers would entertain serious topics, while others would simply be entertaining. We started with a vibrant and sophisticated color palette, and added textures and type that were both classic and modern. The final look was one that was relevant to the student body and WNY community, and one that can be used for years to come.
