Challenge

Design an identity for the theater's fundraiser featuring actor Alec Baldwin. Materials needed to include a website, print ads and billboard, a ticket sponsorship package, and retail and package design for merchandise.  

Approach

The event would star Baldwin in a reading of the classic drama "The Big Knife," about a 1950s Hollywood actor. We created a campaign around the play's noir aesthetic, and built an interactive website in this environment. We titled the event "The Return of Alec Baldwin" to echo the intrigue of a famed Hollywood idol. A digital billboard featured a daily countdown to fuel anticipation for the event. To seize the holiday retail market, we designed an exclusive t-shirt that was packaged with ticket discounts and sold at local retailers.
